rock on, dad!

Liam and Andrew speak a special language. I guess you could call it sign language. Earlier than most kids can give a high five, Liam was holding up the "heavy metal" sign. And, dad, of course, was as proud as could be.

If only the Father's Day gift was this easy. Afterall, does it really make sense to have a preschooler give dad sci-fi movies or pint glasses? Is a paper towel roll music maker enough? This year, thanks to Soule Mama and her creative ideas, Liam made his dad (as well as himself) a very special "heavy metal" t-shirt. In order to get matching shirts in the right sizes, I had to deviate from Andrew's prefered black. But Liam decided he wanted to make the hands different colors anyway (green, Liam; black, of course, dad). The whole process was so easy and so fun, I think we'll all have multiple stenciled shirts very soon.

Great idea! It warms my heart to see such a creative and thoughtful gift. You are a fun mom. I look forward to doing such projects with Malia in the future!
