There are these moments when a person grows right before your eyes and you can hardly believe what you're seeing. When that person is your son, and he is determined and excited and patient and truly in his element, watching involves a lot of magic sprinkled with just a little sadness. He is blossoming and becoming and, quite possibly, headed for the ER. It is so bittersweet.
