What a difference between the first day of preschool and the first day of kindergarten. This boy was ready to go. Not a tear (from Liam anyway). At least I still got a big hug and lots of stories at the end of the school day. Top of the list: Kids who didn't listen, the boy who thought he didn't bring a snack and then found it in his backpack later and the "nine hours" they had to sit at their tables. Drew an amazing R2D2 during free time. Already developing a crush on his teacher. Has two best buddies. The adventure begins.

so many memories . . . i was a mess when i took all three boys to school for the first time after home schooling -- straight into 1st, 3rd and 5th. today is kathryn's first day of her senior year in high school. can you believe it??!! (she looked cute with her backpack, too!)
i cannot believe how old he looks. They are growing up too quickly!
